Hand Painted images

Hand painted images refers to any method of manually adding colour to a black and white image. Hand coloring is also known as hand painting or overpainting. Watercolors, oils, crayons or pastels, and other paints or dyes are applied to the image surface using brushes, fingers, cotton swabs or airbrushes. 


Our task today was to go out and take a photograph of one of our friends full body with a interesting background behind them. Then we were asked to tun this black and white using photoshop, so we could paint onto it changing the colors and making the image as bright and colorful as possible. 
The idea of this was because in the olden times when colour didn't exist this is what people did to make it colorful, they would print there image black and white them paint over it.
